In 1854 the first three volumes of this encyclopedic study were published and the fourth part was published one year later. Although never officially completed, this work brings together all the geographical knowledge extant about Cuba up until that time. It includes astronomy, hydrography, physical features, topographic statistics, and political divisions. It also includes includes a Dictionary of Cuban Botany.
