Hinges intact. Colour frontispiece and 9 B&W engravings. First 35 pages of text is a biography of Southey dated 1867. The book is not dated but probably comes from 1870's or 80's. This is a solid little book. Corners are bumped, light edgewear. Some careless student has spilled black ink on the back board with small spots on spine & front, a latin notation on fore edges. Page 15 has bottom corner cut out, not extending into text. Very slight foxing. A few notations in book. Illustrated by G. Cruikshank. .
