New York: Random House, 1977. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near fine/fine. A Very Good + to Near Fine copy of the first edition, first printing of this Limited Edition, being Number 913 of 1,000 copies SIGNED BY LAWRENCE BLOCK on a special plate affixed to the front free endpaper's recto; being a tight and unread copy with some shelf wear to the bottom edge of each board and with the price-clipped dust jacket showing some toning and a tiny tear to the font panel's top edge. The novel introduces Block's great detective Bernie Rhodenbarr. The book wears its Fine, lightly toned dust jacket and shows the ownership embossment of noted collector Bert Wade to the Limitation Page as well as to the half-title page.
