Burgundy spine label, quite rubbed on Volume I, so that title is barely legible, also rubbed at spine ends. Volume II spine slt rubbed; volume number chipped away. Heraldic bookplate of Sir William Curtis inside front covers. Sir Curtis was the successful son of a ship biscuit manufacturer, referred to as Sir Billy Biscuit by satirists; he was Lord Mayor of London in 1795. OCLC: 2403718.
