Japan: MPL, 1940. Printer Wrapper. Collectible; Very Good. Uncommon Japanese photoplay/screenplay of Warner Brothers's 1940 "All This, And Heaven Too", starring Bette Davis and Charles Boyer. Grainy film stills punctuate the text, which is in both English and Japanese. Well-preserved and VG in its stapled pictorial wrappers. Octavo, 28 pgs. No. #10 in the MPL series of film scripts. The next, as advertised, is to be "The Lost Weekend", no. 11 in the MPL series.

Tight and VG in its wonderful pictorial wrappers (with the blown-up faces of the 3 main stars adorning the cover). Just a touch of fading to the front panel, light wear at the spine ends and small, neat former owner signature and date on the title page. 12mo, 128 pgs. New York: New American Library, 1986. 1st. Cloth. Collectible; Fine/Fine. An amazing selection of 40 some autographs accompany this 1986 stated 1st edition. Almost all the signatures appear opposite the photographs of the actors and include, CHRISTOPHER REEVE, KEVIN BACON, KEVIN KLINE, JOHN LITHGOW, JOHN TURTURRO, WILLIAM HURT, WILLEM DAFOE, SPALDING GRAY, MORGAN FREEMAN, CHRISTOPHER WALKEN, JOHN MALKOVICH, etc. The book itself has held up very nicely as well. Clean and Near Fine in a bright, price-intact, Near Fine dustjacket. Quarto, 304 pgs. Photographs by Susan Shacter, Interviews by Don Shewey. A Review copy to boot, with the NAL Review slip laid-in.

Tight and VG in its pictorial wrappers, with photographic paste-on to the front panel. Somewhat pronounced foxing along the panels (especially the rear panel) and light wear at the spine. Former owner name as well at the front free endpaper. Still though, very presentable. Octavo, issue #1 in the wonderful "Bibliotheque des Sciences Cinegraphiques" series, published in Brussels.

Part of the wonderful Jean-Jacques Pauvert series done out of Paris in the 50s and 60s on the history of cinema.

Paris: Pathe Freres, 1919. Original wraps. Very Good +. Hebdomadaire. An impressive crop of 32 issues of this early, very uncommon Parisian trade magazine, issued by "Pathe Freres", one of France's (and the world's) leading film production companies at the time. Spanning 1918 and 1919 (the magazine's 5th and 6th years in existence), this weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly) offers a detailed, very sophsiticated look at mostly the world of French film and cinematography but also covers the world of French theatre, concert-going and music halls. Crisp black-and-white photos run thru each issue, as does wonderful multi-colored typography and design. Magazine-formatted, uniform, tall quartos in their stapled, pictorial wrappers.
