Illustrated with many examples of gilded papers from both private and public collections. Such papers were used to cover both prestigious books, where they protected fine bindings, and much more humble productions such as almanacs. Profusely illustrated with many full-page colour illustrations of the original papers. Book in fine condition. Quite a heavy book but no additional shipping charges to UK post codes.
