This novel was first written in 1934 and completely revised by the author in the 1950s. Broadly speaking, it is about a plot to assassinate Mussolini and as such is said to be the first literary work from France to confront the reality of Fascism.

A beautiful binding of this historical novel by the Polish writer Zofia Kossak (1889-1968), translated into Danish. Even if you don’t read Danish, this copy will be among the most attractive books on your shelves.
