A good plus, clean neat hard cover with moderate shelf wear and rubbing at the corners, fraying started at the top and bottom of the back strip, fore corner tips worn through to the boards; front hinge cracked but not broken and binding solid, paper light to moderately yellowed wit foxing to the endapers. This edition is published in the uniform format of other Kipling works of this period with the black viking ship as a decorative device, but is a 1/4" shorter than previoius volumes.
