There is no publication date on Volume I. Volume II was published sometime after Volume I with a preface date of 1856. Each volume consists of a series of black and white plates, each with a protective leaf, from a designated period of gothic architecture. There are plates from each period in both volumes. Between the two volumes there are; 11 Norman Plates 52 Early English Plates 62 Decorated Plates 54 Perpendicular Plates 11 Metal Work Plates Volume II also includes an Analytical Index to both Volumes. Other than text within the plates there is no text in this work. Covers are clean with light wear on corners and spine ends. Joints are rubbed with short splits on parts of joints.
