Description:
"This book is a facsimile reproduction of a naturalist's diary for the year 1906. Edith Holden recorded in words and paintings the flora and fauna of the British countryside through the changing seasons of the year."
Printed on heavier than normal paper (cardstock?) in a buff color with beautiful color illustrations, possibly suitable for framing.
Book & Dust Jacket - Good condition. Yellow cloth over boards with gold gilt title in brown block on spine. Apparently, this book came in contact with some liquid at some point as there are very light stains on the book covers and slightly darker stains on the inside and outside of the dust jacket. The top of the DJ at spine shows wear including a .5" closed tear. The spine appears lighter in color, so may have some fading. The closed book page edges also show evidence of liquid stains; however, the inside pages do not show any stains. There are no odd smells. The text is clean and the binding is tight. A good reading and informative book.
