A lovely copy of the Icelandic national anthem in the form of a Christmas greeting card, and with a heartwarming greeting to the previous owner, one "Dorothy." Pressed to the front cover, however, which is what makes this item collectible, is an array of dried flowers, and there are two ribbons that have sewn together the binding. Undated, but circa mid-1950s, as the greeting is from December 18, 1956. The stiff paper covers are pebbly and lightly creased, with an illustration of two lovebirds on a tree branch. The anthem is translated by Arthur Gook. Protected by a Mylar sleeve, and backed on acid-free stiff card stock.
