Photographic Guide to the University of California, Berkeley. Text and Photos by Benjamin B. Ehrich

By Ehrich, Benjamin B.

Palo Alto: Pacific Books, Publishers, 1969. Paperback. 128p., alkaline semi-gloss paperstock throughout, illustrated with profuse undistinguished pix of buildings, pathways and views, and several line maps. Softbound in 10x8 inch campanile-celebratin' photographic wraps, just slightly handled and edgeworn but clean and sound, and unmolested within. Very good copy. Did you know that plutonium was discovered in Gilman Hall, Room 307-A? ..As a further FYI, the brief captions dwell on names of architects who designed, and when, plus re-furbishing architects if any. The timing of this bland publication is curious; FSM? tear gas? never hoid of em. People's Park was pretty early in 1969 but Mr Ehrich missed it and all 1964-onward newsworthy events. Our resident conspiracy theorist speculates that this "Photographic Guide" was part public relations and part orientation for the National Guard.
