San Francisco: n.pub, 1980. Two different leaflets, both 8.5x11 inches; very good. Leaflets distributed in San Francisco in 1980 protesting the depictions in Cruising, which featured Al Pacino as a cop pursuing a gay serial killer. "The straight men who made this film want to sell you their distorted view of our lives. And they don't give a damn what we suffer as a result." One of the leaflets was designed to be handed out in front of movie theaters to people who might be considering going in; the other announces a protest on opening night.

The verso has text in small font with advice on what to do if busted by the cops at the demonstration, with contact numbers for the National Lawyers Guild.

Elaborate flyer advertising the movie with b&w production stills on green and purple backgrounds, softbound as an 8.5x6.5 inch brochure which folds out to a 17x8.5 oblong having two paper-sizes staplebound together. Cover is rubberstamped Made in USSR, the glossy paperstock bears light creases and handling, a sound, clean, good to very good copy. Unclear if a retelling of Kronstadt, but anarchists are the villains.

A nice copy; the gloss on the boards only slightly disturbed by handling, mild crimping of head and tail rims, joints and hinges in fine shape, faintest toning to endsheets (which are not marred by ownership or any other sort of marking), a nice --in fact a very good-- copy of a not-surprisingly scarce book.
