Single cardstock leaf, 7x4 inches, printed in blue and red inks and folded (once) to make a scorecard with rules of play; mildly edgeworn with corner-tip crumple-lines and faintest touch of dust. Quite a nice look to this, and it has never been filled in or marked in any way; a very good exemplar. Accompanying the item is a googled pagelong printout from 2005 giving Leilehua's history (built 1948) and playing characteristics (viz the unique 8th hole which forces a drive to the top of a hill before pin can be seen). Dating is problematical, but in 1953 Norman Thibodeau was a "new head pro" who "started planting the Norfolk pines that today are found throughout the golf course

Cover has a small seller's price sticker, there is a little bit of dust and abrasion, a very presentable copy except for the so-called "perfect"-binding, titlepage-leaf is loose and adjacent leaves are coming loose. A nice copy, but as is. Special publication 45.

Multi-ethnic young people's publication, which the preface describes as trying to emerge from the contraints of an "underground paper." Includes articles about alternative education efforts in Oahu, including the Hale Mohala school, the Habilitat (a drug and sex-free re-education program), efforts to preserve the surf from development, and more.

An accumulation of over 110 one-page memoranda, instruction sheets and cabled updates from 1924-25, some from the Pacific Mail Steamship Company, some from landside authorities or others. While most are mundane updates about port regulations, changes in documentation required for passengers, etc, others offer an interesting window into the administrative issues related to firearms transport, evading smallpox epidemics, and so on. The main group is bound together with brads at the top. Most are on thin onionskin paper, varying degrees of edgewear.
