In addition to the humour, a graver note is sounded by the inclusion of the speech, amde at the court-martial, which under the title of "Conscience and War", was regarded by many of its previous reasers as the most striking statement of the conscientious objectors' case that has appeared. The object of this publication is to make war unpopular."-front wrap.

Brains: Thinking or Robot

By West, Easton

Santa Barbara: Press of The Schauer Printing Studio, Inc, 1951. Pamphlet. 51p., text printed on alkaline semi-gloss paperstock, softbound, a pamphlet in 7.5x5 inch plain printed tan wraps. Cover is near-immaculate though there is a neat ownership name inside front cover; textblock also excellent save for tiny stain to corner-tip of title leaf and to tips of terminal six leaves. He (or she) believes smaller-scale humanities lose their capacity for good-will as small becomes large: "Will it be necessary for the human race to return to the tribal form of living in order to learn how to live together?
