All 145 numbered coloured plates are present with a couple of extra plates with a star after the number. Bindings are sound but with a few small splits to endpapers at hinges, outer boards are worn on corners with small patches of boards showing through. Tops and bottoms of spines are more heavily worn with small losses and small split to top rear hige of volume one 1½ inches long. Second volume has169 full page illustrations, a map and index making 194 pages in total.a few illustrations have been very neatly coloured in with coloured pencils, some very light occasional foxing. Previous owners name neatly written on front endpaper of each volume dated 1932. First volume has a split to front endpaper at inner hinge, the webbing of the binding is sound but has made the binding a little loose. NO dustwrappers, outer boards are lightly marked and rubbed on edges, top edges of pages are gold which is a little dulled.
