Mastering New Architectural Rendering Techniques

By Matsubara, Hiroaki

1996. Book. Very Good+. Trade Paperback. I suspect that this oversize, dust jacketed trade paperback was self-published by the author. The translator has done an excellent job of furnishing the English translation of the Japanese text, but the publishing data is obscure. 160 page book is too large for standard flat rate international shipping. I estimate 40$ for 1st class international. Domestic media mail at our usual price. From the cover "includes a guidance material on evaluating your rendering style." Book is unmarked, very mild wear, jacket same. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

Die mittelalteliche Welt der Araber

By LeBon, Gustave

Stuttgart Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. A handsome jacketed hardcover, in German I feel sure. Seems to be a scholarly examination of Arabic architecture/design/calligraphy and related subjects. The copy right page is a mystery to me, as it references many European cities (in German) and showing no date/isbn/ price that I can discern. In any case it is an unmarked, exquisitely detailed photo/text devoted to the subject. Appears to be fairly newly executed. Perhaps 1st appearance in German? *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Building Stone

By International Library Of Technology

Scranton: International Textbook Co., 1909. Book. Fair+. Half-Leather. Not Given. Balance of title from title page, "Lathing, Plastering and Tiling, Common Brickwork, Ornamental Brickwork and Terra Cotta, Lighting Fixtures, Use and Design Of Lighting Fixtures, Architectural Design. International Textbook Co #31B, 1909 only date given. No additional printings, so first edition seems possible, binding looks correct for '09. 3/4 bound in leather (spine and diagonals for tips) balance cloth. First and last gutters have interior cloth reinforcement, perhaps from the bindery as it matches (roughly) the outside cloth. Perhaps the finest illustrated content in our inventory, lush color, b&w, complex and astonishingly thorough, The books exterior has held up nicely (foto will follow shortly) not, however without the odd scratch and bump. Texts edges are stained in deep red all round. The sole notable structural flaw is a hyper extended opening at the second to last gutter, as though book was opened too far, causing a separation at the gutter, binding holding, but, the bindery glue can be seen top to bottom, actual separation fairly minimal. There is penned note on an adjacent endsheet, text seems otherwise unmarked. This book is thick and heavy, domestic media mail shipping at our usual one book price. International and fast shipping are priced for flat rate envelope, this one won't fit. . .Surcharge needed. Book will now be stored in acid free bag. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Ogsaa Et Sovemiddel

By Rasmussen, Steen Eiler

Copenhagen: Gyldendals Traneboger, 1975. Book. Fair+. Mass Market Paperback. Not Stated. An apparently rather scarce title, in worn mass market paperback format, by the noted Danish architect. Text in Danish. Since my grasp of Danish (nonexistant) is flimsy it may have been done in English with a title I do not recognize. Strong trace cover edgewear, bit of age darkening, not a pretty paperback copy, but sturdy, spine uncreased. Clean and unmarked excepting erasure of old price inside last cover. Fascinating M.C. Escheresque cover illustrations. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.
