Mushrooms: Wild and Edible

By Marteka, Vincent

NY: Norton, 1985. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. From the cover,"A seasonal guide to the most easily recognized mushrooms". There is no date I consider reliable here. Originally done in 1980, this one later. Text unmarked, binding solid. Many minor flaws, wear, the odd ultra light smudge. Jacket has a bit of edgewear. Overall, handsome, foto will follow. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Exterior cloth bronze, gilt lettered, inlaid color foto front, binding sound. Text is pale sepia with a multitude of fotos and exterior planting plans. Various mild wear issues, spine bottom frayed, tips bumped, dark spot fore-edge, still much late 20s charm. McBrides says FE or NAP, this has NAP. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Landscape Gardening

By Simonds, O. C.

NY: Macmillan, 1920. Book. Fair+. Hardcover. 1st Edition. This 90+ year old hardcover has a handsome exterior and some notable interior issues. The first free (2) endsheets have short tears and separations at their upper edge. These were mild enough that I missed them initially. Additionally, two gappings were noted at the gutters, perhaps a 32nd", all text in place, no actual looseness. Owners x-libris palte and name 1st paste down (the sheet fixed inside the front board). All this said, and th book likely has other faults, the piece seems sound and perfectly usuable for reference or reading. Will try to shoot the flaws when fotoing this one but they may be too subtle to show. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.
