An odd oversize pamphlet version of the 1812 original, says on the cover "printed without abridgment." This seems unlikely somehow as the works original version seems to have been 2 volumes. This 0ne runs from the preface through "The Illusions of Writers in Verse," and the index. About sheet music size. The work is complete as printed, some leaves are uncut. The author is Father of the British politician. The item is rather worn and age darkened but fully legible. Book was issued in giftwrap patterned like the dust jacket of the first edition, so this appropriately has no jacket and the gift wrap is not present This is a very nice, clean copy marred only by a tiny black marker dot and "ADV" (for "advance copy"?) written in red fine-tip marker on bottom edge of text and slight wear to gilt lettering on spine.
