A Backpack Guide To The Weminuche Wilderness

By Gebhardt, Dennis

Durango: Basin, 1988. Book. Fair. Soft cover. 5th or later Edition. Subtitle,"In The San Juan Mountains of Colorado." Homely but serviceable little book. 2 maps are present in the books back pocket and I surmise this is as made, book is 8th ed. Text edges are stained in a coffeelike way, the interior is largely unaffected. All this said, the book is sound and complete with no spine issues or structural problems just worn and a bit map-splayed. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

Into The Wild

Into The Wild

By Krakauer, Jon

NY: Villard, 1996. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. 10th Printing. Villard, a division of Random House uses their identification system (1996 version) for edition and printing. In the case of this copy, a 1 thru 10 number line with a centered B indicate a 10th printing. In first edition number sequences the 1 does not appear and the "first" statement does, just as with RH. Book is quite decent, it's only obvious flaws being a fingertip size mildly darkened area on the back board and the appearance of having been read carefully, the deckle fore edge is bright. No marking, hinging tight. The jacket (priced) looks very sharp in it's new mylar wrapper, but had a small theft device laid inside it at the lower spines inside, and this left a tiny interior scar when removed and gave the jacket a lightly creased appearance at the lower spine. One gets the impression that all early hardcovers of this ISBN are quite scarce. ADVICE: It will be critical for any purchaser, desiring an early copy, where the information is not given in the items listing, to verify that the jacket is priced and to know precisely how the number code reads. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.

The Wilderness Handbook

By Petzoldt, Paul

NY: Norton, 1974. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition, full number Line. A large, warm, ball point inscription by Petzoldt 1/2 title page. I had the opportunity to have this writing reviewed by a close associate of Petzoldt, and he assures me of its authenticity. Clean, straight hard cover copy, approaches Near Fine for condition, I think. No obvious cosmetic or structural issues, unbumped, text bright and unmarked, hint of ultralight smudge upper text edge. Traces tip/spine wear. Jacket is clipped at bottom, we assume this is publisher touch as price appears at top. Jacket has mild wear at extremities, no tears. In new mylar wrapper. *We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, and graded, using the strict, traditional standards. For this reason, we have virtually zero returns.*.
