The Philosophy of "As If"

By Vahinger, H.

London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1968. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. 5th or later Edition. Odd dating in place here. ie book says it is a 1968 reprint of the 1935 Second Edition, it is surely a bit later, perhaps 1971. A sturdy straight and clean hardcover copy. Text unmarked and bright, binding sound. Dark green with handsome spine gilt. * We feel that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. We assure the buyer that books listed by Brass Dolphin are so described, using the strict, traditional standards.*.

The Amberley Papers

By Russell, Bertrand

NY: Norton, 1937. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. Both volumes have statements "First Published 1937". Grade given as 'jacket' is for slipcase, no jackets are present and it seems likely the were done sans jackets. The books are handsome, dark rust cloth, nicely protected by the casing. Oddly there is a micro hole (perhaps 1/4") at center inside hinge V.1, perhaps as made? or decades old book worm? In any case, edges are clean, text unmarked, top edge an even light blue. Slipcase has scars and some soiling to laid on paper cover, says "The letters and diaries of Bertrand Russell's parents." Case bumped at one corner. Will shoot books and case for foto to follow..

The Parallax View

By Zizek, Slavoj

Cambridge: MIT Press, 2006. Book. Very Good+. Hardcover. Beautifully made hard cover, likely unread. Oddly at the extreme interior of the gutter (hinging of the pages) at the 1/2 tile page the sewing can be seen. Not a result of any notable hyper opening or abuse, I surmise, but rather, as made. jacket similar a short tear or two, newish. Later printing (partial numberline) of the first, I suspect. *We believe that books offered for internet sale should be described thoroughly and accurately. Munchen/zurich: Knaur, 1964. Book. Very Good-. Hardcover. Reprint. Charming little pair of blue cloth covered hard backs. Owners name/inscription penned first paste down and endsheet.
