This is a set of 12 oversize (12" x 17") prints of Mathew Brady photographs, featuring portraits of Abraham Lincoln, Robert E. Lee, William Tecumseh Sherman, Admiral Dahlgren, General Cooke, General Mahone, Benjamin Turner, Clara Barton, Walt Whitman, Horace Greeley, Josephine Cobb, and an 1865 Military Commission set up to to try the eight civilians charged with complicity in the assassination of President Lincoln. Some of the portraits are iconic, you've seen them, but probably not in this large format. The twelve prints, and a double sided explanatary text page are loosely enclosed in a pictorial, softcover folder, that features a portrait of Mathew Brady on the front cover, The folder is in ver good condition with a few minor creases. The prints are in fine condirtion, without significant flaws.
