Condition is VERY GOOD+ book / VERY GOOD+ jacket: book has slight rubbing to spine extremities, fait stain to top page edge, appears unread; jacket has slight edgwear, a few faint stains to rear panel. A lovely book, a charming tale about a little princess and the magic ring which made her able to talk to birds.

No publications date noted, but WorldCat says two editions were published in 1890 in France. 4to, stiff illustrated wraps, French text, [12] pages, linen cloth, illustrations by color lithography, front endpapers the alphabet A-Z in capital letters, rear endpaper has letters in lower case, each page provides a poem [in French] and color illustrations of various circus acts: acrobats, flying trapezes, bicycles, chariot races, dogs acts, elephants, horses, seals, kangaroos, pigs, ostriches, lions and tigers and bears (oh my!), ending with a yack and a zebra, and all including the various circus performers. Condition: VERY GOOD with some edgewear, crease to front cover, the spine is rubbed with the paper overlay on the canvas rubbed off in a few places, internally clean. A delightful and very rare piece of Circus and ABC lore.
