VERY GOOD- : front cover has some paper-thinning in 3 sm. spots, a 2" tear to the paper at the illustrator's name, some typical lt. edgewear, lt. creasing and scuffing to covers, rubbing to spine, interior pages are clean and tight. A nice collectible ABC.

Square 12mo, illustrated paper-covered boards with cloth backstrip. Red page edges, 56 pages, full-page color illustrations and color illustrations throughout on pages of musical notation. Condition: VERY GOOD: light rubbing around edges, corners slightly bumped and just starting to be exposed, tiny spot on top page edge, endpapers have very light and faint foxing, internally clean and tight - a nice copy of this charming book.

This copy owned by a member of Quinby's family; it is unused, in a NEAR FINE condition, with only the overlapping paper covers at the bottom edge and spine tail gently creased.

The story had been published privately for the Wedgwood - Darwin families only. This is an undated (circa 1965) reissue of that 1939 publication. 8vo, blue cloth with gilt decorated spine, 70 pages, color and b/w illustrations throughout by Gwen Raverat. Condition is VERY GOOD+ book / VERY GOOD+ jacket: book has slight rubbing to spine extremities, fait stain to top page edge, appears unread; jacket has slight edgwear, a few faint stains to rear panel. A lovely book, a charming tale about a little princess and the magic ring which made her able to talk to birds.

FINE / no jacket (as issued) A lovely book, with the drawings of toys begging to be made into REAL toys.

All clean except for 1 page "story pictures" that have been colored in. Hogan's delightful illustrations are in orange and black.

Early printing (originally published in 1911), 8vo, blue cloth, gilt titles, pictorial paste-on, 463 pages, 10 color plates, illustrated endpapers. VERY GOOD- / no jacket: light rubbing to spine extremities and corners, gilt lettering on spine slightly dulled, pictorial paste-on has a few scratches at the edges, first signature is slightly loose with half-title detaching, owner inscribed on first blank page otherwise book is clean throughout, all the lovely and bright Smith plates are present with tissue guards. A nice copy despite these few flaws.

Portraits and classic circus posters from many sources add to the enjoyment.

Delightful illustrations of clowns, circus animals, carriages, and all manner of circus antics.
