The book is housed within a slate coloured cloth covered slipcase (only lightly worn from shelving, but otherwise sound). The books is quarter leathered. Same cloth covered boards as with slipcase. The boards are very healthy, handsome. Green leather spine with four ridges, gilt borders, colophone and author. The gilt titling on a brown leather patch affixed to the second panel. The spine and boards are attractive, handsome. The papertrims have streaks of storage marks. Otherwise, the contents are in immaculate condition. As the series advanced the booklet became thicker with the final issues actually having a spine. The early editions have plain card covers with stapled spines. They have some tanning, storage marks. Number 1 has a previous owner stamp. The contents are pleasingly fresh and smart. From issue 9 the covers were illustrated, and whilst initially stapled continued through to glued spines. The covers have scuffing, storage and handling wear. They are secure. The pages are bright, clean, clear, convivial, certain, with very occasional storage wear to the edges, fresh-faced.
