The Large Paper issue limited to 250 numbered copies printed on rectos only, this being #202.

New York: Longmans, Green, 1934. First Edition. Hardcover. Some very light edgewear to the dustwrapper, but very attractive. Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper. According to the dustwrapper flap, "Miss Manners-Sutton has lived in the Congo, and knows the mysterious ways of the blacks."

The book is tight and crisp; the dustwrapper (from a later @1923 printing) is clean with no tears or chips and has all four corners neatly and evenly clipped by the publisher. Fine, bright copy in a beautiful dustwrapper. Sandburg's second regularly published book after the impressive CHICAGO POEMS. This is the second state of the text with the folio "3" lacking.

New York: Boni & Liveright, 1918. First Edition. Hardcover. Quite likely the Finest copy in existence, bright and clean in a similar dustwrapper. Cloth-backed boards. Typical mixed issue, with the half-title page a cancel (an indication of early status), but with "it" on page191 and with the printing on the upper board resembling hand- lettering (the First Published Edition) of Dreiser's only full-length play; there was also a pre-publication copy which obviously was printed in a very small number. Twenty-five copies of this issue were signed on the title page by the author. This copy is SIGNED on the verso of the half-title page above the ads. Boni and Liveright printed this book early in 1918, but it was not actually published until September 1919 because it was being considered for production on the New York stage. The first volume covers Narrative Glaciers, and Natives; the second History, Geography, and Resources with contributions by William H. Dall, Charles Keller, Henry Gannett, William H. Brewer, C. Hart Merriam, and M. L. Washburn. Beautifully illustrated with 85 photogravures 45 of them from photographs by Edward S. Overall a Very Good copy in the rather uncommon dustwrapper. Wilson's first novel.

Fine in a very scarce and Very Good dustwrapper which is moderately worn with a one-inch chip at the heel of the spine and a smaller chip slightly affecting the lettering at the top of the spine. BAL 7407 & 3510. Contains the first appearance of Mark Twain's "Letter on John Camden Hotten" about the English pirate. Copy #87 of only 100 numbered copies of the Limited Edition bound in flexible suede with gilt lettering on the front cover. In a printed brown dustwrapper (not noted by BAL).

Boston: Little Brown and Co, 1906 & 1903. New Edition. Hardcover. Fine in close to Fine dustwrappers, an attractive set. Two volumes in publisher's attractively decorated maroon cloth retaining the original maroon cloth dustwrappers. Translated by Fanny Elizabeth Bunnett. With additions to the First Edition and illustrated with photogravures from works of art.

London: Duckworth & Co, (1924). First British Edition. Hardcover. Some fading to the pink cloth and offsetting to the endpapers from the dustwrapper. Near Fine in a Near Fine dustwrapper with a darkened spine. Written in 1906 but not published until Conrad was near death. Published the same year as the American edition, though slightly later. Laid in is a card from the publisher announcing the upcoming publication of Hueffer's remembrance of Conrad.

Faint stain to cloth at front cover. Near Fine in a gorgeous and scarce first issue dustwrapper. Stated "Third Edition" on the copyright page but actually the Second Edition and the first edition printed in America; Crane A3.2: 1300 copies published. With "fain" for "faint" on the front panel of the dustwrapper.

Fine copy in a scarce and Very Good dustwrapper with a half-dollar sized chip at the top of the front panel, an inch chip at the head of the spine, and a small piece lacking at the fore-edge midspine. Cloth-backed boards. The second issue with the four-page essay by Dreiser at the end of the text.

Frontispiece photograph of Shaw taken by the subject. The First Edition of 1909, Fabian Tract No. 146, consisted of only 24 pages in wraps and did not have the photograph. Bookplate of Montgomery Evans II on the front pastedown. This copy in the very scarce dustwrapper which has a small chip at the base of the spine and mild edgewear.

Boston: Gorham Press, (1914). First Edition. hardcover. Very Good in a Very Good dustwrapper and clamshell box. First book by this multiple Pulitzer Prize winner, perhaps the greatest playwright of the American theater. Atkinson AI-1-I: 1000 copies printed. This copy in the very scarce original white printed dustwrapper which has only minor soiling, a one-inch jagged closed tear to the top of the front panel and two rather small repaired chips to the spine tips not affecting any lettering. The book itself is Very Good, the only defect being some adhesive remnant on the front pastedown from the removal of a bookplate. Housed in a recently repaired 1/2 morocco clamshell box.

Fine and bright in a Very Good, unrestored example of the uncommon dustwrapper that has a light stain at the bottom portion of the spine and an inch-deep chip at the top of the front cover obliterating most of the "T" in the word "The". Fitzgerald's last book published before his masterpiece THE GREAT GATSBY which had a print run of 20,870 copies while this book had only 7,650 published. As with the better known GATSBY, this title, Fitzgerald's only published full-length play, also explores the American Dream but here with more comic intent and more pathetic results. The main character, Jerry Frost, strives to be President of the United States, if he is unable to make it as a postman.
