Crane A4. Exceptional copy of his third regularly published book and his first book to be published originally in the United States, including the first appearance of two of Frost's best-known poems, "The Road Not Taken" and "Birches." First state with the errors on pages 88 and 93. This copy SIGNED on the title page by Frost and additionally SIGNED and INSCRIBED to Harold Andrews on the front endpaper. Laid in is a 1931 invoice for the book to Andrews so the signature can be dated from that time or later.

Hanover, NH: Department of Speech, 1951. record. Not played but apparently Fine. Two 12" long-playing microgroove needle record albums comprising four sides of Frost reading his poetry recorded on 27 November 1951. Enclosed in a green album cover that has room for a third record which may or may not have been issued with this set. Attached to the inside of the front cover is a handwritten note to someone named Bob advising that the records must be played from the center out (a similar statement is on each album label) and also stating: "Mr. Frost's reference to a dream he'd had echoes a story Mr. Dickey [John P. Dickey, president of Dartmouth] told in his introduction about a dream he'd had. Unfortunately Mr. D's introductory remarks were not included in the recording." This note is signed "E.H.B."
