(9.25" x 11.25" approx.). un-numbered 28 single-sided leaves, reproduced on untrimmed handmade paper for the Department of Science and Art in photo-lithography by W. Griggs from the 1627 original, printed by George Griveau. Illustrated title-page and over 100 illustrations, principally of ornate lock escutcheons and keys. Book withdrawn and sold from Hampstead Public Library with occasional small oval embossed stamp-impressions, otherwise very good internally. The original binding of beige cloth-covered boards/brown title has, frankly, seen better days being stamped and somewhat stained, especially to the back board, and with a fragmented spine and detached front free endpaper. Despite all of this, it is a very scarce book.. First & Only Edition Thus. Cloth. Internally Good/No d/w. 4to..
