Snug and bright in full green morocco binding by Wickers & Son, Leicester - presumably for Charlotte Marion Byrd, Countess of Enniskellen. Her engraved bookplate to the front pastedown. A bookplate on the facing page has been removed with a bracket remanant of paper at the page edges. An ink numeral stamp base of title page and a dim ink stamp to rear pastedown enjoining the book's removal from the library suggest that the book was for some time in institutional ownership. Handsome binding and clean text with attractive bookplate. VG- thus .

Leather splitting in the joints with boards tenuous but holding. Leather at spine browning and a little crazed with dulling to gilt and some shallow chipping at ends. Text block snug and clean.
