Description:
Greek is one of the richest of all languages, with an unrivaled power to express different shades of meaning. In this book, William Barclay, with concise and practical exegesis, examines many of the key words of the Greek New Testament, explaining what these words meant to the writers of the New Testament and to those who read and heard their message for the first time. This is a scholarly yet practical work written for the beginning Bible student, the advanced Bible student and/or pastor, not the Greek scholar. This 288 page volume combines two previous works by Barclay; A New Testament Wordbook and More New Testament Words, books previously published.
The William Barclay Library is a collection of books addressing the great issues of the Christian faith. As one of the world's most widely read interpreters of the Bible and its meaning, William Barclay devoted his life to helping people become more faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Description:
One of the greatest mission statesmen; Cam Townsend, Founder of Wycliffe Bible Translators. In this easy-to-read 224 page as new/unread paperback, the editor, Hugh Stevens, puts together a relatively comprehensive narrative of Cam Townsend's first years on the mission field utilizing Cam's lengthy journal entries, linking them with narrative of his own. The back cover: "After his junior year in college, at age twenty-one, William B. Eerdmans Cameron Townsend took leave of absence from his academic life to spend a year selling Bibles and Scripture portions in Central America. The year was 1917. This book is about that year, a year that became two, which ultimately became a lifetime of extraordinary service to God and the world's ethnic peoples. But this is more than a mere chronicle of daily events. It is rather a warm, intimate, often amusing, always deeply human and frequently highly dramatic look into the o\early life of one of the world's greatest mission statesmen." An online review: "A missionary… Read More
