Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown. The text is clean and unmarked. The cloth shows only a hint of edgewear. The dust wrapper, which was cut a bit too long, has a 1" chip at the upper front corner and slight chipping at the upper rear corner; the upper edge has been bent over the book for many years and is thus creased at that point. Gimmestad, President of Gale College (Wisconsin, and retired by this time); the front cover verso also carries the bookplate of his son, Herman, also a professor and noted Norwegian-American collector. The book appears to be the author's autobiography, dedicated to her father, Johann Storjohann, on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
