[Washington]: [c1852]. 1852. Hardcover. [1] title,15 pp.; original sheets; bound with cloth tape into later stiff gray card boards with red cloth back. Surveyor General Boyd, reports his opinion as to the extent of the claim of C. J. B. Floriau claim in the South Eastern Land District of Louisiana, as made by A. F. Rightor, in 1839. Traces the claim to its origins in 1755 and subsequent grant in 1763 and discusses relevant legal aspects of the land grant vis a vis the Treaty of Fountainebleau, the cessation of Louisiana to the United States in 1805 and related acts as well as Supreme Court Decisions.
