Pedro is good at tricking people with his wit until he meets his match. Friso Henstra has illustrated this edit ion with his beautifully bright and fun pen, ink and watercolor paintings. Dj has a 3/4" tear at spine top front and a wee bump at top back corner but is otherwise very nice in its new mylar cover. Go ld sticker to spine says: Dial Library Edition but this is not a library copy. Not price clipped. Endpapers clean - no former owner's name- except for a dot of ink at bottom front endpaper that has dr ipped down the papers' edges. Text is very clean, no marks of any kind. Overall cond: v. good ++..

This copy as new: bright, clean cover -Glazed paper cover with ill ust of king Grisly-Beard and the princess who is dressed as a Kitchen-maid. Entire book is tight and clean. Endpapers are pristine - no former owner's name. Sendak's pictures are wonderful and appear on every page. he depicts 2 children who read a sign: Wanted! Extraordinary Actor and Actress to play the leading roles in Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm's Fabulous King Grisly-Beard - Inquire within".
