Overall, the book is FINE: top edges stained auburn, outer edges have light foxing, cover = 1/4 brown cloth over patterned ivory boards, with author's signature in gold gilt on front, particulars in gold gilt on spine. Original slipcase is VERY GOOD: Entire, with separated fold on bottom and small amount of chipping. Printed statement of Limited authenticity on first fep, along with No. 246 and author's signature. A definite COLLECTOR'S ITEM.

"Author's Edition" and graphic design stamped in black on the red cloth boards, with details on spine in gold gilt. Condition = VERY GOOD, with first few pages detached, rest attached, slight age tanning, no internal marks, chipping to top and bottom of spine, 2 small white stains on front cover. Jacket condition is Very Good Minus, with significant chipping to top and bottom of spine, yet whole and clear. Noted appraiser JAMES BEATTIE assigns a value of $40 to this book.
