When did you get started in bookselling?

I started working in a Auction House 30 years ago and how bookseller independent 15 years ago

What drew you to bookselling?

I love read!

Did you have any mentors in becoming a bookseller?

I would like give thank you so much to Michel Utt, The Book Collector in Fort Worth.

What are your specialties as a dealer?

Spanish books, Central & Latin America, Southwest Americana.

What's the most amazing book you've ever sold?

Private Correspondence showing the Spanish Crown's Support for the American Rebellion in the War of Independence and dealing with the role of Bernardo de Galvez: illustrious and brave Spanish military, of great importance in American history.

What is your favorite part of being a bookseller?

Investigate manuscripts and rare books

Do you have an open storefront or have you in the past?

Yes, I have open storefront in Madrid, Spain and office by appointment in San Antonio, TX

If so, do/did you have any bookstore pets?

Yes, In Madrid I have two sweets cats: Bebi and Omaly. Do you can see in the picture in the front of presentation in Biblio. My loves!

What is the funniest / strangest / scariest thing that ever happened in your store?

When The People ask me about the price of the furniture where I have the books!!!!!!

What is your favorite bookshop (other than your own)?

Librairie Espagnole, París

What do you personally like to read? Collect?

History and biographies, but in summer: romantic literature.

What's your favorite book you personally own? Would you sell it, if the price were right?

First Edition of Cien Años de Soledad. Yes, I could sell it.

What one book would you buy if price were no object?

Gutenberg's Biblia or Naufragios Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca in first edition, sorry is difficult one or two or three!!!

If you were stranded on a desert island and could bring three books, what would they be?

Cien Años de Soledad, El Conde de Montecristo, Don Quijote de la Mancha
