James Mervyn Ross Kelly's instructions to attend medical examination at Drill Hall Orange, 1940 during World War 2. Kelly went on to serve as a Leading Aircraftsmen with the No 93 Squadron Beaufighters deployed to Labuan, Borneo.. Very Good.

Tenants of building (as per signs) include: Union Bank of Australia, Alex Brown Colliery, Belgian & US Consulate, New Lambton Colliery Indemnity Fire and Machinery Insurance, Hewison Shipping Insurance & General Commission Agent. According to Newcastle Library records these businesses were located in a bank building in Newcastle, but pictorial records depict a different building. It would seem highly coincidental if these same businesses were located at the same time in nearby East Maitland or Morpeth, but remains a possibility. No other pictorial records can be located..
