The sale item includes that title along with nine other sermon/essays by Drummond. Introduced by J. Y. Simpson. Published by Collins as part of the Collins Library of Classics series with frontis illustration of author preceding title page. No date of publication. Maroon leatherette binding with gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square with no flaws other than a nick at top of spine along with minor wear at both top and bottof front board, an a small crack in leatherette at hinge of front board. The slip case in dark red cardboard is worn at entry-point and minor repairs have been made. I have no way to verify that this was the original slip case; it is 1/4 inch wider that the book. Repairs have been made. 317 pages. Book is 6 inches by 4 inches.

Blue cloth binding with gold illustration on front board and gold lettering on spine. Binding tight and square with no flaws other than bumping at top and bottom of spine. Unclipped dust jacket is clean and bright but is worn and chipped at top and bottom of spine and upper edge of front side. There is also sunning on the upper inch and a half of the back side. 243 pages.

Spirits Rebellious was originally written in Arabic and was publised in 1908. The sale item, part of The Wisdom Library, was translated by Anthony Rizcallah Ferris and edited by Martin L. Wolf. No actual date of publication listed and no additional printings stated. It was published as part of a series of books by or about Gibran that probably date to 1969. Yellow paper boards with black printing on spine. Binding tight and square, clean and bright with no flaows. 121 pages.

London Melbourne Toronto: William Heinemann Ltd., 1972 Gibran (1883-1931) was a Lebanese-American author, poet, and artist. He is remembered today for a book called The Prophet, a prose poem consisting of sixteen fables that was originally published in 1924. The Garden of the Prophet, his follow-up to The Prophet, was published after the author's death in 1933 in the the U.S. and 1934 by Heinemann in England. A new printing was published by Heinemann in 1954 and reprinted six times after, the last in 1972. Navy bluebinding with gold lettering on spine. Binding is clean and bright with no wear or fading. Unclipped dust jacket with price in British currency is bright and clean with no tears. Minor wear at extremities is noticeable because of the dark green color. 51 pages.

Binding tight and square, clean except for significant writing in pencil in the margins through out the book. Also the previous owner's name inside the front board. Dust jacket has not been clipped but carries no price as was usual with the series. The year 1973 is printed on the inside back flap of the jacket. Jacket has wear at extremities and several repaired tears but is in very good shape for its age. 295 pages including index plus eight page catalog of other titles.
