Originally published in the journal "Natura", the author looks at the feeding and nutrition of children based on the ideas of Rudolf Steiner, including different diets for children based on the Mediaeval idea of the Four Humours. Deals with Galdrar (chanting of spells) Daily rituals, and Seið-work (or Seiðr, sort of Shamanic, trance-based sorcery). The story (not for children) deals with a woman who becomes a Faerie Priestess. The author is a Faerie Priestess (similar sort of thing to Wicca) in real life, and some years ago ran a Faerie Museum. Originally from Missouri, she moved to Arizona where she met a man who was a Yaqui spiritual leader and whom she later married. She became involved with the spiritual life of the tribe, and eventually became part of the ''Dreaming Women'' group. Lengthy hand-written inscription by the author on f/ep. and a hand-written letter which mentions, among other things, her visits to Iona and Callanish in Scotland. 271pp.. Signed by Author. Acomb, York: Moses B Cotsworth, 1905. No dustwrapper, some bumping to spine ends and corners, and wear to the edges of green boards, but with no loss to the gilt titles and illustrations thereon. An oddly-sized book, measuring 9.5 inches high by 4 across. No publication date shown, but would be about 1905. The author was an advocate of calendar reform, and suggests changing to a thirteen-month year with months of twenty-eight days. He bases this on the idea that the ancient Egyptians, using the pyramids as some sort of giant sundial, also used a similar calendar. Also some mention of pyramids in central America and the Aztec calendar as well as standing stones and other prehistoric remains in Britain. 473pp, 180 b&w illustrations.. Hard Cover.
