A general history of Eastern Europe, from the earliest times until the imposition of Communist rule in 1945.

SIGNED by Joseph Buttinger on the half title. An early, classic study of Vietnam, published after the division of Vietnam into two separate countries. An important book on Vietnam, not often found signed by the author. SCARCE signed.
CONDITION: Some pencil lines in the margins of numerous pages, top edge a bit dusty and stained, in an unclipped dust jacket with small chips, rubbing, soiling, and toning. About Very Good overall.
