Bright red cloth covers with gilt are clean, bit of rubbing at joints and tips. Interior front hinge cracking slightly, otherwise clean and nice. Wonderful ads, maps are clean and bright. This is the true first edition of Helen Griffiths wonderful story about "La Bruja", the horse born on the South American pampa, a cross between a thoroughbred and a wild pony.
