Margie Hirschberg's husband, Ed (Edgar W) Hirschberg, was an avid collector of JDM's work and edited the JDM Biblliophile, a semi-annual journal dedicated entirely to his work, from 1979 through the end of its run in 1999. Book has minor shelf wear to lower edges of the boards and the split at the front endpaper. Price clipped dust jacket is a bit darkened and has rubbing at the extremities and flap folds. Rather scarce title, particularly signed with this association. .

Cordially, James Garfield Stewart, Mayor of Cincinatti." Scarce first printing in dust jacket with price of "$3.50" on bottom front flap with no reference to a second printing. James Stewart served as mayor of Cincinnati from 1938 to 1947, and then as a justice of the Ohio Supreme Court from 1948-1959. His son Potter was appointed the Supreme Court of the United States by President Eisenhower in 1958 and served as an asociate justice until 1981. Burgundy pebbled cloth with gilt titles still fresh and unrubbed, with a few tiny spots on spine. Scarce dust jacket has minor wear at extremities, but is fresh and unfaded and protected in mylar. First printing in dust jacket is quite rare, particularly so with dated signature. .
