Dust jacket is fres and bright with minor wear the spine ends and tips. .

The author, whose real name was David Dresser, is best known as Brett Halliday, creator of fictional detective Michael Shayne. However, Dresser wrote under several pseudonyms including the "Powder Valley" Western series as Peter Field. Most of these novels are now difficult to find, particularly in dust jacket. This copy is in remarkable condition: The book is very close to fine, with a publisher's sticker affixed to the front endpaper stating "Office File Copy" for the Subsidiary Rights Department of William Morrow and Company. The dust jacket has a couple of closed tears, light rubbing and a trifle of sunning to the spine. Scarce. .
