Blackie & Son Ltd undated - but 1903 bookplate Vg no dj attractive dark red boards with little girl and geese. corners and spine ends all bumped/rounded, but no loss. spine sunned. no inscriptions or markings. there is a large school prize plate to reverse of front board dated 1903. ffeps are markedly browned, and there is foxing/tarnish to title page - and some randomly in the text. not unsightly.

Renwick of Otley, London. undated but C 1935 Good. no dj. Cover picture of boy riding a bucking bronco. image on covers shows wear to edges and some loss, tarnish marks, and some darkening around edges. back board is detached from gutter binding, but is fully attached to spine covering which is bound in to front hinge. no inscriptions or child scribbles. the "this book belongs to " page has not been filled in. some foxing to edges but text is clean and tidy. good condition for its age - never printed to last 70 odd years with children use on the way!

London: Hodder & Stoughton, (2nd imp), 1952 VG no dj . light green boards are clean and tidy with a slight touch of edge rounding - but no loss. spine lightly sunned. . 1 inscription to ffeps, which are a touch grubby with some foxing - as are the back endpapers. marked foxing to textblock edge, but not internally. text is clean, bright and tightly bound. condition reflected in price for this collectable title.
