Introduction and contents pages followed by 15 chromolithographic plates with text opposite, each plate with a separate title page. Original olive green cloth binding front board decorated in light and dark green ferns, gilt stamped title, no lettering to the spine. Binding poor with general marking, wear and missing. Contents clean and tight, original patterned end papers. Contemporary, faint, inscription to the front pastedown dated 1893. Title page slightly marked, otherwise contents with some toning to paper, plates very good with a little edge damage to two, this does not effect the image. A fair copy of this impressive Victorian fern book; ideally requires a new binding or purchase fro plates.. Third Edition. Hardcover. Fair. Folio (approx. 30 x 39cm).
