It was attended by the most important British political and historical figures of the day, including speeches by three Prime Minsters and others. [This 'In Memoriam' meeting was believed to be a Parliamentary meeting]. Original bi-folding card with printed front cover, twice folding to reveal three internal panels, the central one of which with a b/w portrait of Nehru and a quote by Rabindranath Tagore. The order and contents of the 'service' are given as follows: - 'Ram Dhun; Two minutes' silence: all present please stand; Appropriate passages from scriptures of different religions will be read; Speakers: -Dr, Jivraj N. Mehta, Chairman of the meeting, The Rt. Hon. Sir Alec Douglas-Home, K.T., M.P.; The Rt. Hon. Harold Wilson, O.B. E., M. P.; The Rt. Hon. Harold Macmillan, M. P.; The Rt. Hon. Early Attlee, K.G., O.M., C.H.; Professor Arnold Joseph Toynbee, C.H. [and] Mr Kingsley Martin. One minute's silence; all present kindly stand. Devotional Songs.
