Published between 1907 & 1909, (with the exception of Sense & Sensibilty which is not dated); each volume with a tissue-guarded, colour frontispiece plate and 23 further plates all after Charles Edmund Brock; decorative end papers and gilt top edges, other edges uncut. The bindings are unusually bright and clean with just a little rubbing to edges (Mansfied Park is perhaps not quite as bright as the rest). Contents very good and tight, end papers toned to a greater or lesser extent, Emma and P. & P. with very small contemporary inscriptions, Persuasion with a small, inconspicuous bookseller's embossed stamp to the front blank page, no foxing, internal hinges all good. Specific faults as follows: Tom Burke with some silverfish damage to the fore-edge of the frontispiece plate but not affecting image; Lord Kilgobbin missing rear free end paper; Dodd Family, small strip missing from lower edge of half-title page (not nearly affecting text).
