Publisher's original binding, remarkably fresh, bright, unfaded and with minimal wear. Contents good and tight, original black end papers, a little general reading wear and a few pages lightly marked, small area of surface delamination to the title page affecting a few letters; one folding plan with a short split along fold, first and last few pages a little more worn; Signature of Chas Laird dated Dec, 1907 to front end paper and recto of frontispiece plate, further signatures and inscription to the same, several of which crossed out. A very good copy. [Bibliographic Note: On the rear page is stated "We are in a position to supply a limited number of complete bound copies of the Mauretania Souvenir Number..." Presumably this is one of the those copies but as the content is rather more worn than the immaculate binding it would suggest that this copy was read before binding, but the dated inscription to the front free end paper of 1907 indicates it was not bound up subsequenty.]. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 4to.
