This is three books about the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway published by The Calgary Group of the British Railway Modellers of North America.
Each one is black and white, glossy, 11" x 8 1/2", soft cover.
1. Canadian Pacific's Bill Hill, by Floyd Yeats. Fourth printing 1995, 52 pages. Perfect condition except for a pencil mark on the cover and a price tag remnant on the back.
2. Canadian Pacific in the Rockies, Volume One, by D. M. Bain. Eighth printing 1986, 28 pages, Mint condition.
3. Canadian Pacific in the Rockies, Volume Five, by D. M. Bain. Second printing 1982, 28 pages. Perfect condition except for price tag remnant and a 2" crease on the cover.

4. The Royal Hudson and the story of railroading in British Columbia, an undated B.C. government booklet full of photos. It fully tells the story of the Royal Hudson. 47 pages plus cover. There's a minor crease to the cover and someone wrote 'Glenbow Foundation' on the cover. Otherwise perfect.

Description:
This is a first edition (1985, Great Britain) of The Guinness Rail Fact Book, by the British railway expert John Marshall. Called 'the essential reference book for rail enthusiasts', it is 208 pages of facts and statistics on route lengths, rolling stock, motive power, tunnels, bridges and railway systems. It includes 80 photographs. There are a couple of creases and dogears but it's in superb condition.

Also included is a 5 1/8" wooden Two-Tone Steam Train Whistle, made in Poland and sold by Restoration Hardware in the '80s. It is in pristine condition.

I also include a miniature 1940 New York Hodge Steamer, which is a pencil sharpener. It's beautifully made (in Hong Kong) and is in mint condition.

This is the fourth printing of Rails to the Tableland, The Story of the Cairns Railway, published by the Australian Railway Historical Society in 1976 and a best-seller for many years.
It is the fascinating story of the history, construction and operation of the Cairns Railway, both main and branch lines. It includes detailed descriptions of the sections, including the Chillagoe Co.'s main line and branches, the Cairns Range Railway, the Milla Milla branch, the Mulgrave Tramway and the North Coast line.
It is illustrated throughout with black and white photos (and a 2 page color section) as well as several maps. With rosters of steam locomotives, passenger cars (including railmotors), and freight equipment as well as selected station layouts, and a list of opening and closing dates of sections.
Soft cover, 72 pages plus covers. There is a little fading to the top right of the cover and a small inscription on the inside front endpaper. Otherwise perfect.

This is a collection of three books, two of which are by the Canadian engineer and railway historian Robert Legget (1904-1994).
The first is Railways of Canada, a best-seller, originally published in 1973, which tells the story of railways in Canada from the 1830s. This is a heavily illustrated 255-page trade paperback from 1980. Aside from a spot on the side at the back of the book, and the crease to the cover which you can see, it's in perfect condition.
The second book is Canadian Railways in Pictures, which was written by Leggett in 1977. This is the second paperback edition, published in 1985. It is a large trade paperback, 96 pages, with several photographs on every page.
The third book is Canadian Railway Scenes No. 3, compiled by Adolf & Okan in 1986. It includes vintage scenes of CP and CN, photos from the Last Spike Centennial, and the Trans-Canada to Expo '86 Restored Luxury Train.
