Justiz (attorney and victim of HUAC witchhunts). Author's second novel. Bodenheim was a very influential realist writer, considered the quintessential American Bohemian. His third novel was suppressed as pornography resulting in a successful major legal battle by publisher Horace Liveright that helped finish the New York Society for the Suppression of Vice and similar censorship groups. 12mo, 238 pp.
