(It was re-issued later under Rodker's Pushkin Press imprint). Cover illustration possibly by Nora Fry Lavrin, prominent artist and wife of Janko Lavrin. Used; Very Good Ivan Cankar, founder of Modernism in Slovene literature. The publisher, one of the so-called "Whitechapel-Boys", John Rodker, was himself a modernist writer best known for publishing T S Eliot and Ezra Pound. He also worked on editions of Ulysses both in Paris and London. Rodker also started a number of publishing houses: The Ovid Press (1919), The Egoist Press (with Harriet Weaver, 1922), The Pushkin Press (1937) and perhaps most successfully Imago (1938), publishing Freud's works. Janko Lavrin, Slovene writer, spent much of his life in Britain as Professor of Slavonic Studies.
